The goal was to create a visual identity that resonates with the "Slow Living" movement. The name Slowdays implies a sanctuary from the urban rush. The design needed to feel grounded, artisanal, and welcoming, moving away from the cold minimalism of modern chains toward a more organic aesthetic.

The primary hurdle was to design a brand that felt premium but accessible. Most modern coffee brands lean into high-contrast, industrial minimalism (black and white, sharp edges), which can often feel cold or impersonal. The challenge was to maintain minimalist layouts while injecting enough "warmth" to make the customer feel at home rather than in a clinical laboratory.

The visual direction was inspired by the botanical lifecycle of coffee.
The Flora: Instead of just showing roasted beans, the design incorporates watercolor coffee blossoms and cherries to emphasize the "farm-to-cup" journey.
The "Slow" Movement: The aesthetic draws from 1970s retro-cafe culture. Specifically the soft, rounded typography and earthy palettes. To encourage a "slow living" mindset.
